Battery-powered insulation resistance tester with 1, 2.5, 5 and 10 kV test voltages, 1 MΩ to 199.9 GΩ, guard terminal, rugged case, about 1 kg.
The HUAC-2671C measures the insulation resistance of electrical equipment during maintenance, testing and verification: cables, motors, transformers, switchgear and other high-voltage apparatus. It offers four rated test voltages, 1000 V, 2500 V, 5000 V and 10,000 V, with a high output power and short-circuit current to charge capacitive test objects.
Insulation resistance is shown on a large 3½-digit LCD, from 1 MΩ to 199.9 GΩ. A guard (G) terminal lets the operator exclude surface leakage from the measurement, so the result reflects the insulation itself. The instrument withstands short circuits and the residual voltage of the test object, and a low-battery indicator warns when the battery needs charging.
The HUAC-2671C runs from a 12 V, 1.8 Ah rechargeable lithium battery, with AC 220 V operation as an option. At about 1 kg, in a shockproof, dustproof and moisture-proof case, it is built for site work in power plants, substations and industrial installations.

Choose the test voltage according to the rated voltage of the equipment and your test procedure. Higher voltages such as 5 kV and 10 kV are typically used for medium- and high-voltage cables, transformers, motors and switchgear.
Current flowing across a dirty or damp surface can make the insulation resistance look lower than it is. Connecting the guard (G) terminal diverts this surface leakage away from the measurement.
Yes. Its high output power and short-circuit current charge capacitive loads, and the instrument withstands the residual voltage of the test object. Always discharge the object after the test.
