Non-destructive vacuum interrupter tester using the magnetron discharge method: 10⁻⁵ to 10⁻¹ Pa, no disassembly, printer, RS232, about 12 kg.
The HUAC-A measures the vacuum degree of vacuum interrupters without removing them from the circuit breaker. It is used by power plants, substations and circuit breaker manufacturers to confirm that vacuum interrupters are still safe and reliable.
The tester works on the magnetron discharge principle, using a new type of excitation magnetic coil. A single-chip microcomputer controls the measurement, and ion charge calibration suppresses interference from intermediate-state power supplies. The vacuum value is shown directly on a large LCD, so the operator sees the condition of the interrupter at once. Results can be stored, printed on the built-in thermal printer and sent to a computer over RS232. At about 12 kg, the instrument is portable enough for on-site maintenance, installation checks and production testing.

No. The HUAC-A measures the vacuum degree non-destructively, with the interrupter still in the circuit breaker.
It uses the magnetron discharge principle: an excitation magnetic coil and a high-voltage electric field produce an ion current in the interrupter, which corresponds to the vacuum degree.
5–10 % from 10⁻³ to 10⁻¹ Pa, 10 % from 10⁻⁴ to 10⁻³ Pa, and 10–20 % in the lowest band, 10⁻⁵ to 10⁻⁴ Pa.
