Overview

The HUAC-F is a portable, high-precision instrument for the mechanical characteristics of high-voltage circuit breakers: vacuum, SF6 and oil breakers in power plants, substations and switchgear factories. It measures 12 breaks at once for closing and opening time, synchronism within and between phases, contact bounce, speed, travel, coil current and energy storage.

A built-in adjustable DC supply of 30 to 250 V, 20 A short-term, operates the breaker coils for low-voltage operation tests, so no external supply is needed. Strong anti-interference design allows testing in energised 500 kV substations. A large backlit LCD, a built-in thermal printer and data storage with a real-time clock make it suitable for both on-site maintenance and factory quality control.
