Overview
The HUAC-3669 measures the moisture content of SF6 gas in circuit breakers and GIS as dew point and ppm. Each measurement takes about 2 minutes after switch-on, which saves gas.
The sensor calibrates its zero automatically, removing zero and drift errors so every measurement is accurate and annual calibration is less of a burden. Self-locking couplings prevent gas leaks. The colour touch screen shows dew point, moisture in ppm, ambient temperature, time and date, and draws the dew-point curve during the measurement.

Why measure moisture in SF6?
Moisture in SF6 lowers the dielectric strength of the gas and forms corrosive by-products during arcing, so utilities check it during commissioning and maintenance.
